Support Coach — Boys Performance Phase (U15+) — All Levels
Who We Are
Steel City FC is Pittsburgh’s competitive youth soccer club, built around a clear identity: Dominant. Assertive. Connected. We develop players who compete at a high level and leave our program ready for the next challenge — on and off the field.
Our Boys Performance Phase spans Academy, Premier, and Classic competition levels for U15–U19 players. Support Coaches in this phase work within a structured coaching unit, partnering directly with a Lead Coach to deliver high-quality sessions, develop individual players, and contribute to a culture of accountability and growth.
This is a strong entry point for coaches who want to work at a competitive level, build their craft inside a clear methodology, and grow within a club that takes coach development seriously.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with your Lead Coach to develop your training and game coverage assignments
- Co-design training sessions that fit within the club’s Game Model and methodology
- Lead training sessions and games when assigned
- Provide active, high-quality support to the Lead Coach during all training sessions and competitions
- Collaborate with the Director and Lead Coach to develop and maintain ongoing Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for each player
- Assist in leveraging external resources to enhance player development

What We’re Looking For
- U.S. Soccer D License preferred; SafeSport certified; background check required
- Genuine interest in player development and the coaching process
- Energy, coachability, and the presence to operate confidently with older players
- Strong communication and collaborative working style
